Each year the Nigel Wright North East Accountancy Awards supports a local charity and this year saw the turn of the County Durham Community Foundation. With the help of a silent auction and gift aid envelopes over £1,800 was raised during the evening.

Emma Fagan of Benchmark Communications who organised the Awards said: ‘Last year was such a good evening we really wanted to ensure this year upheld it’s reputation as being one of the best Accountancy Dinners around and I think we have.

‘Everyone enjoyed the evening- particularly those who took home an Award- well done to them all. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and we look forward to starting to plan for next year.’

The Nigel Wright Accountancy Awards takes place on an annual basis and will be in its 5th year in 2011. Organisers would like to thanks all those who supported/sponsored and nominated for the awards in order to make them happen.
