Nigel Orr, Director of Corporate Service, Tees Valley Regeneration

Nigel is Director of Corporate Services at Tees Valley Regeneration, an urban regeneration company responsible for delivering sustainable and meaningful economic activity for the long-term development of the Tees Valley region. His role at TVR includes responsibility for Finance, HR, Corporate Governance, IT and other support services. Prior to joining TVR in 2005, Nigel held a similar role at the Learning and Skills Council County Durham. His working life started at Durham County Council, undertaking a number of different roles including Chief Accountant. Extra curricular activities include voluntary work for the Prince's Trust, running, trekking and eating!

Sue Browell, Head of People Development, Commission for Social Care

Sue Browell is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She has worked in human resource management and development in private, public and non-profit sectors for all her career. She has also been responsible for consultancy projects, courses and workshops for a variety of organisations in the UK and overseas and lectured at Newcastle Business School.

Sue is currently HR Director for Castlebeck an independent healthcare provider with headquarters in Darlington. Prior to her current role, Sue was employed as Head of People Development for the Commission for Social Care Inspection and previously was Senior Manager, Learning & Organisation Development at Ernst & Young LLP (UK).
